SUBARU SAFETY FEATURES

Stay Safe in a Subaru from Fox Subaru in Auburn, NY

Subaru vehicles don't hold back when it comes to keeping you and your loved ones protected. With standard EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology on every model and a wide range of available safety features, the Subaru lineup is 100-percent dedicated to your peace of mind behind the wheel.[1]

Pre-Collision Braking and Throttle Management

At the center of Subaru's EyeSight® suite is Pre-Collision Braking and Pre-Collision Throttle Management. Activated by cameras and sensors, these features work together to help your vehicle avoid dangerous crashes with pedestrians and other vehicles. They warn you when a crash is imminent, reduce engine power, and apply the brakes for you. Even if a collision is inevitable, these systems can seriously mitigate the impact momentum and severity.

Reverse Automatic Braking

With the available Reverse Automatic Braking system, you can back up your Subaru with extra confidence.[2] This system monitors the area behind your vehicle and automatically hits the brakes if you're about to run into an obstacle. It's the ideal companion for navigating tight parking spaces.

180-Degree Front-View Monitor

By law, every new vehicle these days comes with a rearview camera. Subaru isn't content to stop there, offering an optional camera that keeps an eye on what's in front of you. The 180-Degree Front-View Monitor makes sure you'll always see obstacles in front of your vehicle, and it's an especially welcome feature when there are kids in the area.

DriverFocus® Distraction Mitigation System

Distracted driving puts you at serious risk for a crash, but DriverFocus® is here to help.[3] Available on certain premium Subaru trim levels, this technology uses a camera to monitor your face as you drive. If it picks up on signs that you're sleepy, tired, or distracted, it will emit a warning to bring you back to attention. If you take your eyes off the road for too long, DriverFocus® can also slow the vehicle down or make it come to a complete stop.
